CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Junior Natalie Srinivasan (E) carded a 71 to pace the 11th-ranked Furman women's golf team Saturday in the second round of the 43rd Annual Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the par 72, 6,379 yard UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Srinivasan recorded birdies on No. 3 and No. 7 to turn at two-under and finished the round tied for 15th overall after two rounds of play.
Senior Haylee Harford (-5) shot an even 72 on Saturday with birdies on No. 4 and No. 14 to finish the round tied for third, four strokes back of leader Emilia Migliaccio (-9) of Wake Forest, who leads the field with a two-day total of 67-68-135.
Senior Jacqueline Bendrick (+6) notched consecutive birdies on No. 3 and No. 4 and is tied for 49th after finishing with a 76 in the second round. Freshman Kyra Cox (+11) scored an 80 with a birdie on No. 17 on Saturday, tying for 72nd, while sophomore Caitlin Cotterill (+16) scored birdies on No. 3 and No. 18 to tie for 91st after recording an 81 in Saturday's round.
Duke (-15) leads the field for the second straight day and enters the final round with an eight-stroke advantage over second-place Virginia (-7). Arkansas (-4) sits in third, followed by Wake Forest (E) in fourth and South Carolina (+2) in fifth. The Paladins (+12) enter Sunday's round in eighth place.
The 54-hole tournament concludes on Sunday with a 9:15 a.m. shotgun start. Furman will tee off of holes No. 6 through No. 9 and will play in a group with Louisville and Clemson.
