Srinivasan Tied For Third, No. 7 Furman In Second Place At Bryan National

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. -- Sophomore Natalie Srinivasan (E) is tied for third place, while No. 7 Furman is in second place following two rounds of play Friday at the Bryan National Collegiate at the par 72, 6,386 yard Bryan Park Champions Course in Browns Summit, N.C.

The Paladins (+12) finished the day one stroke behind 24th-ranked North Carolina (+11), who led the field with a two-round total of 301-286=587.  No. 22 Auburn (+13) and host Wake Forest (+13), which is ranked 21st nationally, are tied for third, just one stroke back of Furman, while No. 47 Tennessee (+15) rounds out the top five.

Furman has three players among the top 24, including Srinivasan, who fired a 71 with four birdies in round one then added a 73 with three birdies, including consecutive birdies on No. 10 and No. 11, in the afternoon.  She is three strokes back of leader Emilia Migliaccio (-3) of Wake Forest, who ranks 10th nationally and posted a two-round total of 71-70=141 on Friday.

Senior Jacqueline Bendrick (+5) and junior Haylee Harford (+5) are tied for 24th.  Bendrick carded a 78 with two birdies in the first round but rebounded with a 71 in the second round.  She eagled the par-5 No. 11 and added a team-high five birdies, including three-straight birdies from No. 13 through No. 15, in the afternoon round.  Harford notched a 76 with two birdies in the morning and scored a 73 with birdies on three out of four holes from No. 10 through No. 13 in round two.

Senior Alice Chen (+6) enters the final round tied for 32nd.  She recorded a 76 with two birdies in the first round and added a 74 with two birdies in the afternoon.  Senior Reona Hirai (+7) is tied for 38th after posting a 74 with four birdies, including back-to-back birdies on No. 3 and No. 4, in round one and a 77 with a birdie on No. 11 in round two.

The 54-hole tournament is scheduled to conclude on Saturday with a shotgun start at 10 a.m., weather permitting.  Should there be inclement weather in the area, the final round will be pushed to Sunday.  The Paladins will play in a group with North Carolina and Auburn and will tee off of holes No. 1 through 3.  Results and live tournament scoring are available via and
