GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team will compete Monday and Tuesday at Davidson's River Run Collegiate at the par 72, 7,317 yard River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.

The 54-hole event will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Monday morning, with teams playing two rounds on the first day.  On Tuesday, teams will tee off of No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 8 a.m.  Furman will play in a group with Davidson, Charlotte, and James Madison on Monday.

Furman will be joined in the 13-team field by Charlotte, host Davidson, Elon, Francis Marion, Gardner-Webb, James Madison, Marshall, Radford, Richmond, Temple, William & Mary and Wofford.

The Paladin lineup includes seniors Connor Bruns and Garrison Hogan, juniors Keller Harper and Matt Lehman, and freshman Owen Burden.  Senior Raj Ghosh will compete as an individual.

"It was nice to get one event under our belts and get some of the nerves out of the way," said Furman head coach Matt Davidson, who is in his first year at the helm of the Paladin program.  "We learned a lot at the tournament in Iowa and should hopefully be able to get in the mix this week and have some fun."

Harper, the 2018 SoCon Men's Golf Player of the Year, led the Paladins with a 72.2 stroke average over 33 rounds last season.  Bruns, who joined Harper on the All-SoCon Team, ranked second on the team with a 73.3 stroke average over the same 33 rounds.  In the Paladins' first tournament of the season, the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Harper tied for 22nd to pace Furman.

Admission to the tournament is free and fans are welcome.  Live tournament scoring will also be available via
