Daniel Island, S.C. – Anthony Aloi fired a final round 71 to pace the Furman Paladins to a third-round low 292 on Tuesday in the Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship at the par-72, 7,446-yard Ralston Creek Course.

The four-over 292 final round helped the Paladins climb to a ninth place finish.  Chattanooga (+20) shot a third round 296 to capture the league title and hold off second place Davidson (+22) by two strokes with College of Charleston (+34) and Appalachian State (+42) rounding out the top four in the 11-team field.

The Cougars' Josh Lorenzetti (-1) carded a two-under 70 on Tuesday to rally past second round leader Steven Fox (+1) of Chattanooga and claim individual medalist honors.  Fox tied with UNCG's Taylor Coalson (+1) and Davidson's Todd Eckstein (+1) for runner-up honors.

After starting on the back nine, Aloi (+13) birdied two of his final four holes to shoot a two-under on the front nine en route to earning a share of 21st place at 13-over par.  Fellow senior Matt Brown (+10) notched a 15th place finish at 10-over par by carding a three-over 75 during final round play.

Furman's Wehman Hopke (+15) and Michael Borton (+24) contributed to the Paladins shooting the best round of the day as each posted a final round 73.
