Furman Basketball Drive for Excellence

Furman Basketball Drive for Excellence is a campaign to provide supplementary financial resources for the Furman men’s and women’s basketball programs as they pursue excellence both on and off the court. This additional funding will allow the programs to sustain the resources needed to recruit, travel, and perform at the highest level. The goal of the Furman Basketball Drive for Excellence is to raise $1 million over the next 5 years to support both the operational needs of the programs and new videoboards for Timmons Arena (funded fall of 2018). Please join us in our efforts to ensure that Furman men’s and women’s basketball provide the best possible experiences for our student-athletes, staff, and fans as we seek to sustain Furman’s championship tradition.

Men’s Basketball Enhancement Fund—Operations funding will provide added resources for recruiting, travel, and other program needs. This includes expanding the FURthertheMAN initiative to prepare Paladin basketball players for the transition from college student-athletes to successful Furman graduates making an impact in their communities.

Women’s Basketball Operations—Contributing to women’s basketball provides support for the program’s operations, including facility, equipment, and technology upgrades, team travel, and player development initiatives which will help mold our student-athletes into young women who always uphold the program’s core values—that is, to be DISTINCT. (**A donor has pledged to match all gifts made through March 31 for women's basketball operations, up to $10,000 .**)

Timmons Arena Videoboards— [FUNDED] This much-needed enhancement in Timmons Arena will improve the game-day experience,  serve as a valuable recruiting tool, and expand sponsorship opportunities. The videoboards will replace the existing scoreboards on either end of the court. To make a pledge to support the videoboards, please email jesse.blair@furman.edu or return the printable pledge form below.
