GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman volleyball team hits the road this weekend as the Paladins begin a three-match road swing. The Paladins are currently on an 11-match win streak, the longest in school history, and are undefeated in conference play.
Furman (18-3, 10-0 SoCon) travels to Statesboro, Ga., to face Georgia Southern Friday night at 7 p.m. The Paladins defeated the Eagles 3-1 at home earlier this season to take a 27-14 advantage in the series. Georgia Southern enters the match with a 17-8 overall record and 7-3 league mark after defeating Appalachian State and Western Carolina last weekend.
On Saturday, Furman will visit Davidson for a 4 p.m. match. The Paladins recorded a 3-0 win over the Wildcats at home on Sept. 27 for a 30-17 all-time series advantage. Davidson defeated Western Carolina and Appalachian State last weekend to push the Wildcats' record to 6-20 overall and 3-7 in the Southern Conference.
