Furman Volleyball to Face The Citadel, Charleston This Weekend

Greenville, S.C. - The Furman volleyball team will travel to Charleston this weekend as the Paladins take on The Citadel on Friday night, and face College of Charleston on Saturday afternoon.
Furman will face The Citadel on Friday night at 7 p.m., and will take on Charleston on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
Furman (7-7 overall, 3-0 SoCon) is coming off two straight conference wins, defeating Georgia Southern at home last Saturday 3-1, and then sweeping Tuesday night's match at Wofford by a 3-0 score.
Furman is led by junior Chibuzo Aguocha, who leads the conference with a 4.63 kills per game average. Nicole Palazzo tops the league standings with a .375 hitting percentage. The Paladins lead the SoCon in hitting percentage (.229) and blocks per game (2.74).
The Citadel (5-11, 0-4) enters the weekend off a 3-0 loss to Georgia Southern on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs are led by Samantha Parisi with 3.46 kills per game. Rachel Sanders leads the team with 3.31 digs per game.
Charleston (9-5, 3-0) remains the only other undefeated team in conference play. A Furman win over The Citadel and a Charleston win over Wofford on Friday night could set up a matchup on Saturday afternoon pitting two teams with 4-0 conference records. The Cougars are led by Deanna Patrick with 3.34 kills per game. Marie Dobrenz leads Charleston with a 6.21 digs per game average.
