Furman Falls 3-0 at Davidson in Regular Season's Final Weekend

DAVIDSON, North Carolina - In the next to the last match of the regular season the Lady Paladin volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-23, 30-21, 30-21) decision to the Davidson Wildcats Friday night in Davidson.
The Wildcats avenged an Oct. 16 3-1 loss to Furman, outhitting the Lady Paladins .321 to .181.
Emily Harby paced the Furman offense with 10 kills and a .444 hitting percentage, while The Wildcats Liz Williamson showed Davidson the way with 17 kills on the night. The Furman defense was led by Kim Tonkin's 11 digs, while Chibuzo Aguocha contributed eight kills and seven digs to the effort. Lindsey Woeste topped the Wildcats' defensive effort with 19 digs.
With the win Davidson impoves to 14-17 overall and 10-7 in the Southern Conference, while Furman falls to 12-15 overall and 8-9 in league play. The Lady Paladins will face the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Saturday in a 7 p.m. clash.
