Greenville, S.C. – Furman volleyball returns to Alley Gym for one final time in 2018, welcoming Upstate-rival Wofford for a 7:00 p.m. match. The match will be streamed live on the SoCon Digital Network, and the first 200 fans in attendance will receive a free donut courtesy of the Donut Experiment.
Furman (11-14, 7-7 SoCon) is coming off a 1-1 weekend in conference play, falling to ETSU on Friday, before downing Western Carolina on Senior Night Saturday. Meg DeMaar was named the SoCon Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, after averaging 6.63 digs per set and setting a school four-set record with 34 digs against the Catamounts on Saturday. DeMaar also registered her 2,000th career dig on Saturday night, becoming the first player in school history to reach the milestone.
Wofford (14-13, 7-7 SoCon) is also coming off a 1-1 weekend in conference play, downing Western Carolina on Friday and falling to ETSU on Saturday. The Terriers are led on offense by Catie Cronister with 340 kills on the year, while Colleen Reilly is second with 243. Taylor Gill anchors the back line for Wofford, with 533 digs on the season, while Lorissa King has dished out 534 assists.
