Match Time Announced for Furman Women's Tennis NCAA Bid

Greenville, S.C. - The Furman women's tennis team will make its eighth appearance in the NCAA Tournament when it challenges No. 3 Georgia Tech on Saturday, May 12 at 12 p.m. The match will be played at the Bill Moore Tennis Center on the Georgia Tech campus.
The Yellow Jackets will serve as a host site for the first two rounds of competition, hosting Furman as well as Arizona and Kentucky who face off at 3 p.m., on Saturday. The winners of Saturday's matches will square off on Sunday with the victor earning a spot in the Sweet-16 on May 18-22.
All tickets will be sold at the gate, which will open one hour prior to the first match on Saturday. Tickets are $5 daily for adults and $3 for students and children. Fans may also call 1-888-TECH-TIX for details. Parking for the 2007 NCAA Regional at Georgia Tech is free of charge and is first-come, first-served, in the following areas: Alexander Memorial Coliseum (Large lot between coliseum and interstate off 10th Street), O'Keefe Parking Lot (6th Street off Fowler Street) and along Fowler Street (off 10th Street).
Furman (16-9) earned the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 4-3 win over the College of Charleston in the league championship match. Third-ranked Georgia Tech (23-4) outlasted Miami, 4-1, for its third consecutive ACC Tournament crown.
The NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship bracket consists of 64 teams that will play at 16 first- and second-round sites. The first two rounds of competition will be conducted May 11-13 with the winner of each site advancing to the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., hosted by the University of Georgia. The team championship will be held May 18-22.
