CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Sophomore Jessica Preeg advanced to the main draw of the ITA Mideast Regional Championships after winning two matches in the qualifying round.

Preeg defeated Wiseman (Memphis) 6-1, 6-0 in the round of 32, then topped Loeb (Wake Forest) 6-4, 6-0 in the round of 16 to qualify for the main draw of the Championships, where she joins freshman Monica Arguello, senior Lauren Osborne, and junior Laura Gioia as competition continues later today.

In doubles play, Manojlovic/Preeg won over Baez/Gorbea (Lousville), and the team of Arguello/Tomory defeated Jurewitz/Reichert of UNC. Doubles play continues Friday evening.
