Lady Paladins Shut Out College Of Charleston 7-0

Charleston, SC - The Furman women's tennis team ended College of Charleston's 11 match winning streak Sunday afternoon at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C as the Lady Paladins shut out the Cougars 7-0.

With the win, Furman improves to 17-3 overall and 8-0 in conference play while CofC drops to 15-5 overall and 6-2 in the SoCon.

Furman took the doubles point to open up the match, getting a key win at number three doubles as Shannon Moore and Lauren Osborne took a 9-7 decision over Jenna Marks and Priscilla Roberts. Furman swept singles play, dropping only one set in all six matches.

The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday when they face Georgia Southern in a key Southern Conference match at Patriots Point starting at 2:00 PM. Furman will travel to Boone, N.C. for a conference match against Appalachian State on Wednesday at 2:30 PM.
