Lady Paladin Tennis Downs Hawaii 6-1

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Playing its third match at the University of San Diego, the Lady Paladin tennis team downed Hawaii 6-1 to improve to 5-3 on the year.

The Paladins captured the doubles point with relative ease, winning all three matches. In singles play, Furman won five of the six matches in straight sets. Hawaii's Lauren Fitzgerald, ranked No. 75 in the latest ITA rankings, defeated Mary Neill Hagood, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 for the Rainbow's only victory of the match.

Furman will return to action on Wednesday, March 16, with a home match against Charlotte.
