Furman Women's Tennis Falls 5-2 at No. 34 UNLV

Las Vegas, Nev. - The Furman women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to the UNLV Rebels at Fertitta Tennis Complex on a breezy Friday morning. The Lady Paladins fall to 1-7 overall, while UNLV improved to 8-2 on the season.

After losing the doubles point, Furman played each and every singles match tight, but came up with only two wins. Sophomore Laura Gioia defeated Elena Gantcheva 3-6, 6-2, 6-1, at flight one to earn her sixth consecutive win. Sophomore Lauren Tomory was also victorious, topping Alisa Razina, 7-5, 6-1 at number six.

The Lady Paladins will challenge Boston College tomorrow on the campus of UNLV at 1 p.m.
