Freshman Year (2008-09): Bitetti recorded a 15-10 singles overall record, playing mostly in the number four position, and was named to the first-ever SoCon All-Freshman team after posting a 9-1 conference singles record. She teamed with Jessica Preeg for a 14-5 doubles record and a .737 doubles winning percentage, the tenth-highest doubles winning percentage in Furman women's tennis history. The Bitetti-Preeg team recorded a 6-1 conference record in the number three doubles spot. Bitetti was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and was a member of the ITA All-Academic Team and the SoCon Academic Honor Roll. Prep/Personal: Susan Bitetti played at Norwell High School for head coach Judy Field, where she compiled a 98-4 singles record in four years. Bitetti won the singles state championship as a senior and earned Boston Globe All-Scholastic honors for four straight years. She was named an AP Scholar with Distinction. Susan Bitetti was born on December 5, 1989 in Norwell, Mass. She is the daughter of Sam and Mary Bitetti. Her brother Sammy was an All-American tennis player at Bowdoin, and sister Sara played tennis for Providence College. Susan is undecided on her major.
