Freshman Year (2017-18): Kerman was chosen to the All-Southern Conference second team at flight four singles and to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team. She recorded a 14-7 overall singles mark and a 6-1 recorded versus SoCon opponents, playing in the bottom half of the lineup. Kerman defeated non-conference foes Charlotte, Winthrop, Emmanuel, and USC Upstate in February and put together a seven-match winning streak starting March 18 at Mercer and continuing through April 6 at ETSU, when she notched a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory at flight four singles. She posted a 6-0, 6-3 win against Chattanooga to open the SoCon Championships. Kerman tallied a 16-2 doubles record with a 6-1 league mark. She teamed with Gabby Rodriguez for a 7-2 overall mark and 4-1 league record then went a perfect 9-0 when partnering with Georgie Walker. All told, she scored 14-straight doubles wins and won 16 out of 17 regular season matches. Kerman was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Prep/Personal: A five-star recruit by www.tennisrecruiting.net, Kerman was the top-ranked player in the state of Georgia and ranked 16th in the Southeast. She achieved a 56th-place national ranking among players in her graduating class. Kerman won the doubles championship and was a singles finalist at the 2015 Georgia qualifier and was a finalist in the Southern 1A competition in Raleigh, N.C., in 2016. The Westminster team MVP as a sophomore, she helped her team to the 3A state championship in 2014 and to a runner-up finish at the state championship in 2015. Carol Elizabeth Kerman was born on December 25, 1998, in Atlanta, Ga. She is the daughter of Mike and Lucy Kerman. She intends to study business or accounting.
