Weymouth, a junior from London, England, and Vines, a sophomore from Elizabethton, Tenn., were named to the All-Southern Conference first team for doubles after posting a 16-1 overall record and perfect 7-0 league mark in 2017. The duo won 16-consecutive matches from Feb. 19 through April 23, including ten-straight matches against SoCon foes, before falling to fourth-ranked North Carolina in the opening round of the NCAA Championships. Vines was honored as the 2017 SoCon Freshman of the Year, an honor Weymouth received in 2016.
"This is great recognition for how hard Katty and Danni have worked on the doubles court," said Furman head coach Adam Herendeen. "We put them together mid-way through last season, and they won sixteen consecutive matches. What is most exciting is that they are still improving each day!"
