CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team concluded play Saturday at the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championships at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C. The tournament showcased the top women's tennis players from the states of North Carolina and South Carolina.
Senior Margaret Boyette and junior Alex Moreno-Kaste reached the round of 16 in doubles after posting an 8-7(3) victory over Talia Rojas and Isabel Von Struk of USC Upstate on Friday. In Saturday's action, Duke's Annie Mulholland and Chalena Scholl handed Boyette and Moreno-Kaste an 8-1 loss to end their tournament run.
Furman will compete at the Alabama Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Nov. 1-3.
