Furman's Megan Jaudon was named second team All-Southern Conference, it was announced at the league's annual softball banquet Wednesday night in Mt. Pleasant, S.C..
Jaudon, a native of Blacksburg, Va., batted .231 with five home runs, 23 RBI and a team-leading 12 doubles while starting all 57 regular season games for the Lady Paladins. The sophomore led the Southern Conference with eight doubles in 21 league games.
Jaudon, who started 29 games at first base before starting the last 28 behind the plate, has thrown out 43 percent of attempted base stealers.
Furman opens play in the 2005 Southern Conference Championships Thursday when it faces host College of Charleston in a 6:00 p.m. contest at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant.
