Rain Washes Out Lady Paladin Softball Doubleheader

Greenville, S.C. - Furman's Southern Conference softball doubleheader against Western Carolina, scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Pepsi Stadium, has been postponed until Sunday due to heavy rains and unplayable field conditions. The three-game series will be shortened to two games with a twinbill set for noon on Sunday.

The Lady Paladins (16-32-1, 6-12 SoCon) will honor the 2007 senior class in a short ceremony prior to Sunday's first pitch. Following the rain-shortened series, Furman returns to action in the SoCon Tournament on Wednesday in Greensboro, N.C.
