Greenville, S.C. -- The Furman softball team returns to Pepsi Stadium on Wednesday when it hosts the Charlotte 49ers in a 4 p.m. non-conference doubleheader.

Wednesday's games will be streamed live on the SoCon Digital Network with live stats provided through StatBroadcast. Links for both can be found at

Furman comes into Wednesday's twinbill at 20-6 on the season after claiming a 6-5, nine-inning victory over Eastern Illinois in the final game of College of Charleston's Holy City Showdown on Sunday night in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Senior Lindsey Bert tossed a complete-game to earn her 13th victory of the season, Hannah Reynolds belted a three-run homer, and Cammy Pereira provided the eventual winning run by swiping home with two outs in the top of the ninth inning as the Paladins captured their second straight victory.

Bert's 13 victories rank second in NCAA Division I softball and she ranks as Furman's all-time winningest pitcher with 73 career victories. Her 132 strikeouts and six shutouts this season are both tied for third best in college softball entering this week.

Charlotte (8-12) and Furman will meet for the 67th and 68th times on Wednesday with the Paladins holding a 37-29 series lead. The 49ers swept last season's doubleheader in Charlotte, N.C., while the two teams split a twinbill in Greenville the previous season.

Admission to all games at Pepsi Stadium is free.
