Hinshaw Named To Soccer Buzz All-Southeast Region Team

Greenville, S.C. - Furman Lady Paladin goalkeeper Andie Hinshaw was named to Soccer Buzz's All-Southeast Region Third Team, it was announced this week.

Hinshaw, a native of Raleigh, N.C., paced Furman to a 14-6-2 record and an appearance in the Southern Conference Tournament championship match while earning first team All-Southern Conference honors in 2005. The senior set a school single season mark with 11 shutouts while extending her SoCon career shutouts record to 36 this past season.

A double major in political science and Spanish, Hinshaw posted a 0.87 goals against average while playing all 2,070 minutes in goal for Furman. Earlier this past season, Hinshaw established a new school standard by registering four consecutive shutouts. Along with teammate Andre'a Morrison, Hinshaw was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District III Third Team in November.
