Greenville, S.C. - Furman's Anna Betton has been named Southern Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Month for October, it was announced on Thursday by the league office.

The junior recorded nine goals and two assists to help the Lady Paladins to a 6-3-1 record during October. She finished the season as the league's leading scorer with 14 goals and notched deciding goals in victories over Davidson, Appalachian State and The Citadel.

A Greensboro, N.C., native, Betton compiled a streak of six straight matches with a goal from October 5-18. The forward eanred first team All-SoCon honors and all-tournament accolades after leading Furman to the SoCon Tournament finals.
