Greenville, S.C. - Furman's senior forward Andréa Morrison has been named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team-of-the-Week, it was announced this week.

Morrison sparked a second half rally in Sunday's regular season finale against UNC Greensboro that saw the Lady Paladins recover from a 3-0 deficit to force overtime and eventually grab a 4-3 victory.

The Kernersville, N.C., native notched Furman's second and third goals in the final 25 minutes of the match to help force the overtime period. With just over six minutes remaining in the second overtime, Morrison got behind the Spartan defense and was taken down in the box by the UNCG keeper to earn a penalty kick. Tara Marker converted the kick to give Furman the dramatic come from behind victory.

Morrison leads Furman with 15 goals and 34 points on the season. The senior has netted a team-leading four game-winning goals this season

Furman, 12-5-2 overall and 7-1-2 in SoCon play, opens Southern Conference Tournament play Thursday when it hosts seventh-seeded Wofford at Stone Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30p.m.
