Greenville, S.C. -- Furman's Anna Betton, Stacy Simpson and Gena Villari were named first team All-Southern Conference in voting by the league's 11 head coaches, it was announced on Tuesday by the league office.

Betton, a junior from Greensboro, N.C., led the SoCon in goals (11) and total points (24) while adding two assists and notching three game-winning goals in 19 matches this season.

Villari, a junior midfielder, totaled five goals and two assists. The Raleigh, N.C., product netted three goals via set pieces and registered 12 total points. Simpson, who returned from a 2005 knee injury for her senior year, anchored a Furman defense that recorded seven shutouts.

Senior defender Kate Johnson and junior center back Mickey Palanza were tabbed second team All-SoCon.
