Andre'a Morrison Tabbed TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student-Athlete Of The Week

Greenville, S.C. - Furman women's soccer standout Andre'a Morrison has been named as the TIAA_CREF Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of September 28, it was announced Wednesday.

Morrison, who was named SoCon Player-of-the-Week on Tuesday, netted four goals and totaled two assists in Furman's road victories over East Carolina and The Citadel this past week.

In the Citadel match, Morrison, the 2003 Southern Conference Player-of-the-Year, registered her fourth career hat trick and added an assist to guide Furman to a 9-0 victory. She has notched 10 goals and totaled 23 points this season to lead the SoCon in both categories. The Kernersville, N.C., native netted her 39th career goal versus The Citadel to pass Melissa Sutton for fourth on Furman's all-time goal scoring ledger.

In the classroon, Morrison is a health and exercise science major with a 3.5 grade point average.
