Greenville, S.C. - The Furman women's soccer team continues its non-conference schedule Friday when it hosts Upstate rival Clemson in a 7 p.m. match at Eugene Stone III Soccer Stadium on the Furman campus.

The Paladins enter the match at 4-2-1 after blanking Presbyterian 1-0 in the finale of the Academy Sports Shootout Sunday afternoon in Spartanburg, S.C. Defenders Margaret Antonik and Ashley Creavalle joined freshman forward Martha Hall on the all-tournament team. Creavalle netted the game-winning goal in Sunday's victory while Hall scored in Friday night's 3-1 loss to Kennesaw State.

Clemson, ranked in Soccer Buzz's latest Southeast Region poll, enters Friday's match at 4-2-0. Like the Paladins, the Tigers have scored victories over Presbyterian, UNC Asheville and Francis Marion while falling at South Carolina. The Tigers dropped a 6-2 decision to defending national champion Southern Cal on Sunday.

Clemson holds an 11-0-1 record in the all-time series against the Paladins, including a 4-0-1 advantage at Stone Stadium. The Paladins lost to the Tigers 2-1 in the last meeting between the schools at least season's Carolinas' Cup in Charlotte, N.C. Both the Paladins and Tigers were eliminated by Tennessee in the 2007 NCAA Tournament with the Paladins falling in the first round and the Tigers losing to the Vols in second round action.

Furman will conclude its non-conference schedule on September 22, when it travels to Spartanburg to face USC Upstate. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
