Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's soccer team returns home this weekend to host Kennesaw State on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Campbell Camels on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Stone Stadium.
The Paladins enter the weekend at 3-0-0 on the season after capturing a 1-0 victory at Presbyterian in their last match on August 23, in Clinton, S.C. Claudia Murphy scored the game's lone goal, while goalkeepers Kellsey Weaver and Allie Cutler combined to record Furman's first shutout of the year.
Friday's match marks the fifth all-time meeting between the Paladins and Owls with Furman holding a 3-1-0 series lead. The Paladins claimed a 2-0 victory over Kennesaw State in Kennesaw, Ga., last September. The Owls (3-1-0) started the season at 3-0-0 before being blanked by the SEC's Alabama Crimson Tide last weekend.
Sunday's contest is the first between Furman and Campbell. The Camels will open their weekend with a Friday night tilt at Western Carolina.
Tickets for Friday's match are $5 and can be purchased online at FurmanPaladins.com or at the Stone Stadium gate beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Season tickets, which include admission to all Furman men's and women's soccer home matches, are available at FurmanPaladins.com for $30 and include a Furman Soccer scarf for the first 100 fans.
