Furman captured a share of its eighth SoCon regular season title and earned the tournament's No. 1 seed by playing to a scoreless draw against Samford last Sunday in Birmingham, Ala. The winner of Sunday's match between the Paladins (12-2-2, 8-0-1 SoCon) and Bucs (6-12-0, 3-6-0 SoCon) will advance to face the winner of No. 4 seed Western Carolina and No. 5 seed VMI in the semifinal round on Friday, November 3, at 6 p.m. ET in Birmingham. The championship match is slated for 2 p.m. ET in Birmingham on Sunday, November 5.

Sunday's match marks the 14th meeting between Furman and ETSU with the Paladins holding a 12-1-0 series lead. Furman cruised to a 5-0 victory over the Bucs in the regular season meeting between the schools on October 15, at Stone Stadium as the Paladins posted four first-half goals.

The potent Paladin offense, which has tallied a league-best 43 goals in 16 matches, is led by senior Molly Dwyer's nine goals and seven assists. The Knoxville, Tenn., native has tallied five match-winning scores, including three in SoCon play. Sophomores Treva Aycock and Caitlyn Reilly have contributed eight goals and five assists and seven goals and six assists, respectively, while senior Rachel Shah has paced the SoCon with eight assists.

ETSU snapped a three-game skid with a decisive 5-0 victory over Wofford in first round tournament action on Wednesday night in Johnson City, Tenn., to punch its ticket to the quarterfinal round. The Bucs are led by Eleonora Goldoni, who has netted 10 goals in 17 matches this season.
