Greenville, S.C. -- Freshman Treva Aycock assisted on Molly Dwyer's goal just 1:39 into the match and netted a goal of her own in the second half as Furman cruised to a 3-0 victory over Wofford in Southern Conference women's soccer action on Friday evening at Snyder Field in Spartanburg, S.C.

With the victory, Furman upped its record to 11-3-1 overall and 5-2-0 in SoCon play, while Wofford slid to 2-13-1 overall and 0-6-1 in the league.

Less than two minutes into the match, Carlie Couch slid a pass to the left wing to Aycock. The Marietta, Ga., native played a low cross towards the top of the six-yard box and Dwyer thumped a first-touch shot past the Wofford goalkeeper for her team-leading ninth goal of the season.

In the 55th minute, Quinn Lombard played a cross from the right wing that bounced off the cross bar. Sanon Williams, and two Wofford defenders battled for the ball on the left side of the box before it squirted out to Aycock who lined a shot into the far-side netting to double the Paladin lead.

Freshman Amanda Baker capped the scoring in the 72nd minute as Melanie Rankin played a through ball for Baker who got behind her defender down the left flank. The Lawrenceville, Ga., product dribbled into the box and fired a shot to the right side of the goal for her third score of the season.

Senior Rose Hull and freshman Kellsey Weaver combined to shutout the Terriers and notch Furman's 11th shutout in 15 matches this season. The Paladins compiled a 19-2 edge in shots and were not forced into a save against the Terriers.
