  • Furman Captures Third-Straight Germann Cup As SoCon’s Top Women’s Sports Program; Paladins Finish Third In Commissioner’s Cup Race

    Furman captured its third-straight straight Germann Cup and finished third in the Commissioner’s Cup standings, it was announced on Tuesday by the Southern Conference at its annual league meetings in Hilton Head, S.C.  The Germann Cup and Commissioner’s Cup are awarded annually to the Southern Conference schools fielding the league’s best all-around women’s and men’s sports programs, respectively.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Mercer in SoCon Title Game

    Macon, Ga. – Behind nine combined goals from Kelly Hagerty and Kate, Leone Mercer used a 14-goal first half to down Furman, 18-8, in the 2018 Southern Conference Championship game. With the win, the Bears earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, while the loss ends the Paladins’ 2018 season at 8-11. 
  • Strong First Half Sends Furman to SoCon Title Game

    Macon, Ga. – An eight-goal first half gave the Paladins the push they needed, as Furman held off a late Central Michigan rally to down the No. 2-seeded Chippewas 13-10 on Thursday night and earn a spot in Saturday’s SoCon Championship game. The win moves the Paladins to 8-10 on the season, while the loss ends CMU’s season at 11-7. 
  • Women’s Lacrosse Set to Open SoCon Tournament Play on Thursday

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse opens play in the inaugural Southern Conference Women’s Lacrosse tournament on Thursday night as the No. 3 seed, taking on No. 2 seed Central Michigan at 7:30 p.m. inside Five Star Stadium on Mercer’s campus.

    Greenville, S.C. – Five different Paladins have been named to three SoCon All-Conference teams, it was announced today by the league office. The selections are made in voting by Southern Conference women’s lacrosse head coaches.
  • Women’s Lacrosse Powers Past Wofford on Senior Day

    Greenville, S.C. – Twelve different players combined for 20 goals and Furman powered past Wofford, 20-2, in the 2018 regular-season finale. The win moves Furman to 7-10 on the year and 3-2 in SoCon play, while the loss ends the Terriers’ season at 2-15 and 1-4 in SoCon play. With the win on Saturday, Furman earns a spot in the 2018 SoCon Championships, held next weekend in Macon, Ga. 
  • Women’s Lacrosse Plays Host to Wofford in Senior Day SoCon Showdown

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse returns to action on Saturday, welcoming Wofford to Paladin Stadium for the 2018 regular season finale. The meeting is the first between the Paladins and Terriers, who are in their first season of Division I competition, and serves as the first SoCon matchup between the two Upstate rivals. 
  • Women’s Lacrosse Powers Past Delaware State on Sunday

    Wilmington, Del. – A 17-0 run to open the game propelled the Paladins to a 19-2 victory over Delaware State on Sunday at Wilmington University. The win moves Furman to 6-10 on the year and 2-2 in SoCon play, while the loss drops the Horents to 0-13 and 0-4 in SoCon play.

    Washington, D.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse used 12 goals in the first half to down Howard, 18-6, on Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C. The win moves the Paladins to 5-10 on the year, while the loss drops the Bison to 1-10.

    Greenville, S.C. – Behind 10 second-half goals, Detroit Mercy rallied to down Furman, 16-13 on Saturday afternoon inside Paladin Stadium. The win moves the Titans to 8-6 on the year and 3-1 in SoCon play, while the loss drops the Paladins to 4-10 on the year and 1-2 in SoCon play. 
  • Women’s Lacrosse Plays Host to Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy in Weather-Altered Weekend Homestand

    Greenville, S.C. – Furman women’s lacrosse returns to action this weekend, hosting Central Michigan and Detroit Mercy in two Southern Conference games. Due to forecasted storms, the game against Detroit Mercy has been moved from Sunday at 12:00 p.m. to Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.

    Greenville, S.C. – Behind 10 second-half goals, Central Michigan handed Furman its first SoCon loss of the season, a 13-10 decision on Friday night inside Paladin Stadium. The win moves the Chippewas to 8-5 on the year and 3-0 in SoCon play, while the loss drops the Paladins to 4-9, 1-1 SoCon.
