Like Atkinson, Paik needed just 14 holes to put the match out of the reach of her Longhorn opponent.
Texas' lone victory versus the Lady Paladins was a tight 1 up affair in which Perry Swenson defeated Haley Gildea. Furman jumped out 1 up on the first hole, but Texas sqaured in on the next and took the lead on the third. Furman rebounded to square the match on the fourth hole of competition (No. 5), then took the lead on the next hole and held it until No. 9. In all, the lead switched six times and the match ended with Swenson 1 up on Gildea and no holes left to play.
