Former Lady Paladin Golfer Part Of Big Break VI Cast
Sept. 25, 2006
Greenville, S.C. - Former Furman All-American golfer Sarah Johnston will make her reality television debut on The Golf Channel's hit show Big Break VI: Trump, scheduled to air September 26, at 10:00 p.m.
Johnston was among 18 contestants, nine men and nine women, selected to compete on the show for a spot on the PGA and LPGA tours, respectively. The 18 golfers squared off in various challenges over a two week span that will be broken down into 14 or 15 episodes. The filming took place at business tycoon Donald Trump's Trump International Course in Los Angeles, Calif.
Johnston, the 2004 Southern Conference Champion and league golfer-of-the-year, auditioned for a spot on the show and was selected as one of 36 semifinalists. Johnston and the other prospective competitors were brought to Orlando, Fla., where show producers selected the final 18 contestants.
Since graduating from Furman, Johnston has played on the Duramed FUTURES Tour. The St. Charles, Ill., native placed 18th on the tour money list this summer while recording four top 10 finishes.
