Furman's Lady Paladin golf team fell from 10th into 11th after a second round 309 put them at 608 in the Mason Rudolph Championships at the Vanderbilt Legends Golf Course in Franklin, Tenn.
Freshman Kathleen Ekey (Wadsworth, Ohio) paced Furman on Saturday with a one-over 73 at the 6,217-yard, par 72 Ironhorse Course, and moved into a tie for 22nd, nine strokes off the lead pace of Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino. Junior Theresa Paik (Silver Spring, Md.) fired a round two 75 and is tied for 29th at 149, while Connor Atkinson (Charleston, S.C.) fell into a tie for 52 after a second-round 80 put her at 154 for the tournament.
Freshman Blair Lamb (Flat Rock, N.C.) followed up a round one 76 with a second round 81 and is tied for 68th at 157, while senior Haley Gildea (East Greenwich, R.I) shot an 82 on Saturday and is tied for 72nd at 159.
The Mason Rudolph Championship is led by Vanderbilt and Georgia, who are tied at 578 entering the third and final round on Sunday. Arizona State is in third at 579, while Duke is in fourth at 582 and UCLA rounds out the top five at 585.
