Atkinson Named To NGCA All-Scholar Team

GREENVILLE, South Carolina - Furman University rising senior Connor Atkinson has been named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-Scholar team for the second consecutive season, it was announced on July 13 by the NGCA.

The NGCA All-Scholar team requires a 3.50 grade point average and competition in at least 66% of the team's scheduled rounds.

Atkinson, a native of Charleston, S.C., boasts a 3.56 grade point average in business administration, and recorded a 76.62 season stroke average while playing in all 11 Furman events last season. In addition, she was a second team All-Southern Conference selection and placed sixth at the league championship in Greenville, S.C.

Atkinson's All-Scholar award is the eighth received by Lady Paladin golf team members since 2000.
