Kenoyer Named To NGCA All-American Scholar Team

Greenville, S.C. - Furman's Stefanie Kenoyer has been named to the 2009 National Golf Coaches Association's Scholar All-American Team, it was announced earlier this week by the NGCA.

Kenoyer, a rising junior, captured her second straight Southern Conference title in April while leading the Paladins to the league crown and NCAA Regional berth. She paced the SoCon with a 74.0 stroke average to earn league player of the year honors.

In June, Kenoyer posted rounds of 73-75=148 at the Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Ill., to earn a spot in the 2009 United States Women's Open which is set to begin July 9, at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.

The Lighthouse Point, Fla., native also advanced through two rounds of stroke play and the opening round of match play to the round of 32 at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links during the month of June. A member of the SoCon's Spring Academic All-Conference Team, Kenoyer sports a 3.90 GPA in political science.
