NCAA East Regional Washed Out on Day One

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Two rounds of competition in the NCAA Division I Women's Golf East Regional are slated for Friday after Thursday's first day of action was washed out before the first tee shot was hit.

Furman, along with the 20 other teams playing for a top eight finish and NCAA Chamnpionships berth, will tee off wtih a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start and play 36 consecutive holes, if all goes according to the NCAA Golf Committee's plan. The third and final round will be competed on Saturday at the par 70 University of Florida Golf Course.

Furman is the seventh seed in the NCAA East Region and is currently ranked 19th by the Golfweek Sagarin Poll.
