Lamb Named Southern Conference Golfer Of The Week

Greenville, S.C. - Furman sophomore Blair Lamb has been named the Southern Conference Women's Golfer-of-the-Week, it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

Lamb finished at even par to claim third place this past weekend at the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit, N.C. The Flat Rock, N.C., native carded rounds of 70-76-70 to her first top 10 finish of the season against a field that included eight of the top 25 players and 10 of the top 25 teams in the country.

The 2006 second team All-SoCon pick will lead Furman to the Southern Conference Women's Golf Championships April 15-17. The 54-hole tournament will take place at patriots Point Golf Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
