Lady Paladins Place Fifth at Bryan National

GREENSBORO, North Carolina -

Furman's Lady Paladin golf team finished fifth at the Bryan National Collegiate with a three-round 913, following a final round 311 Sunday at the Bryan Park Champions Course.

 

Theresa Paik paced the Lady Paladins on Sunday, with a five-over 77, and finished 20th at 229, but Jenny Suh was Furman's top finisher after a final-round 78 that left her tied for 10th in the individual standings at 225.  Junior Connor Atkinson and sophomore Monique Gesualdi also carded 78s on Sunday to place 32nd and 41st, respectively, in the individual standings.  Freshman Sarah Sturm was the Lady Paladin non-counter with a third-round 85, that placed her 54th overall at 240.

 

The Duke Blue Devils won the Bryan National with a three-round 883, while Tennessee took second at 893, Georgia placed third at 903, and Florida placed fourth at 908.  Duke's Brittany Lang won the individual title with an even-par 216.

 

The Bryan National is Furman's last tournament before hosting the Southern Conference Championship April 22-24, at the Furman University Golf Course.
