Lady Paladins Make Move Up Leaderboard at Liz Murphey

ATHENS, Georgia - The Furman women's golf team carded the low round of the Liz Murphey Intercollegiate on Saturday, shooting 292 to move from 14th into seventh, but remains 21 strokes off Georgia's lead pace.

Monique Gesualdi fired a one-under 71 at the 6,228-yard, par 72 University of Georgia Golf Course, and is tied for 53rd at 157, while Theresa Paik recorded a 72 and is tied for 21st at 152. Sophomore Jenny Suh's 73 moved her into a tie for 42nd at 155, while Connor Atkinson fired a 76, but continues to pace the team in 19th, with a 151 two-day tally. Freshman Sarah Sturm is tied for 81st after a second-day 80.

Georgia sits atop the leaderboard at 592, while Tulane is second at 599, LSU is third at 600, Auburn is fourth at 601, and Tennessee and Wake Forest are tied for fifth at 607.

The third and final round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate is slated for Sunday.
