Ekey Earns SoCon Golfer-Of-The-Month

Greenville, S.C. - Furman sophomore Kathleen Ekey has been named Southern Conference Women's Golfer-of-the-Month for February, it was announced this week by the league office.

Ekey carded a three-day, 13-over par 229 to finish third at the Papa John's Collegiate February 18-20, in Miami, Fla.. The sophomore was three stokes off the pace and helped Furman to a ninth place team finish. She shot a first round 79, carded a 76 in the second and a 74 in the final round.

Furman returns to action this weekend at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic In Baton Rouge, La.
