Lady Paladins Ninth at Sun Trust Lady Gator

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Furman's Lady Paladin golf team is in ninth in a field of 18 after a round one 310 at the University of Florida Sun Trust Lady Gator.

Sophomore Jenny Suh paced the Lady Paladins on Friday with a three-over 73 at the 5,927-yard, par 70 University of Florida Golf Course, and is tied for fifth in the individual standings. Theresa Paik is tied for 42nd after opening with a 78, while Monique Gesualdi is tied for 50th at 79.

Freshman Sarah Sturm rounded out the Lady Paladin scorers on Friday with a first-round 80 and is tied for 61st, while Connor Atkinson is tied for 69th after shooting 81.

The second of three Lady Gator rounds is slated for Saturday. Wake Forest leads after a round one 294, while Duke sits in second at 298 and the host Lady Gators hold third at 300.

The Sun Trust Lady Gator marks the opening of Furman's spring golf season.
