Furman Finishes 13th At Auburn Derby Invitational

Auburn, Ala. -- Furman tallied a final round 309 to place 13th at the 17-team Auburn Derby Invitational Sunday at the Auburn University Golf Course.

Corrine Carr posted a final round 76 to lead all Furman golfers. Carr climbed to 47th place for the rain shortened 36-hole event. Kathleen Ekey (76-77=153) finished in a tie for 21st while Blair Lamb (76-78=154) placed 27th.

Auburn (303-291=594) claimed team honors on its home course. The Tigers finished 12 strokes ahead of second place Alabama. Marissa Milligan (74-71=145) of Auburn fired a final round 71 to finish one stroke ahead of teammate Nicole Hage and North Carolina's Lauren Hunt for individual honors.
