Lamb, Ekey Card Opening Round Four Over Par At Auburn Derby

Auburn, Ala. -- Sophomores Blair Lamb and Kathleen Ekey both carded first round scores of 76 to grab a share of 12th place and help Furman into 10th after the opening round of the Auburn Derby Invitational Saturday in Auburn, Ala.

The sophomore duo are four strokes off of the lead established by Auburn's Margaret Shirley entering Sunday's final 18 holes. The opening round was rained out Friday turning the event into a 36-hole tournament.

North Carolina (301) holds a two stroke lead over Auburn and four stroke advantage over LSU after Saturday's play. Furman is tied with South Carolina, 10 strokes back.

Final round play at the Auburn University Club gets underway with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.
