Final Results
Greenville, S.C. - UNC Wilmington's Carmen Perez-Narbon carded a tournament-best 69 to take individual medalist honors while TCU (300-297-299=896) grabbed team honors at the 37th annual Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course on Sunday.
Perez-Narbon (70-78-69=217) recovered from a second round 78 to shoot three-under-par and overtake East Tennessee State's Laura Jansone (71-73-75=219) over the final 18 holes. Her three-day one-over-par score was two strokes better than Jansone and four strokes better than third place Valentine Derrey of TCU.
Derrey and Prisela Campbell (74-73-75=222) helped the Horned Frogs post a final round 299 to outdistance Notre Dame (311-305-294=910) by 14 strokes. The Fighting Irish carded a third-round best six-over to edge third place ETSU by two strokes.
Furman rebounded from a sub-par first two days to notch the second best round on Sunday, a 10-over-par 298, to move up to 12th place. Blair Lamb, who was battling mononucleosis all week, and Stefanie Kenoyer paced the Lady Paladins shooting even-par over the final 18 holes. Kenoyer's (77-76-72=225) strong finish helped her into a tie for seventh place at nine-over-par.
Corrine Carr and Ashley Baker also contributed to Furman's final round 298 posting scores of 76 and 78, respectively.
The Lady Paladins conclude their fall slate October 26-28, at the University of Alabama/ Ann Rhodes Intercollegiate.
