Second Round Pairings
Greenville, S.C. - East Tennessee State posted an opening round 299 to take a one-stroke lead after 18 holes at the Lady Paladin Invitational Friday at the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C.
During a first round plagued by wind and rain, Laura Jansone carded a one-under 71 and Maria Ringdahl notched an even-par 72 to give the Buccaneers a one-stroke advantage over the TCU Horned Frogs on the par-72, 6,288-yard course.
Carmen Perez-Narbon of UNC Wilmington grabbed the individual lead shooting 33 on the front nine on her way to a two-under-par 70. She leads Jansone by one stroke with three players tied for third at even-par.
The host Lady Paladins struggled to a Friday score of 313 putting them in a tie for 11th entering Saturday's second round action. Blair Lamb, Stefanie Kenoyer and Ashley Baker each carded 77 to lead the Lady Paladins and earn a share of 18th on day one of the 54-hole tournament.
The 18-team field will resume play Saturday with the first tee times set for 8:30 a.m. Final round action is scheduled for a shotgun start on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
