Knoxville, Tenn. -- Furman's Blair Lamb (72-71-71=214) fired a final round, even-par 71 to finish in a tie for fifth at this weekend's Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
The junior, who finished four strokes back of the leaders, sunk three birdies during the final round of the 54-hole event to pace a Furman (300-301-300=901) squad that finished 15th. Freshmen Jaclyn Hilea and Stefanie Kenoyer carded rounds of 75 and 76, respectively to aid the Lady Paladin cause.
Sandra Gal of Florida and Cydney Clanton of Auburn tied for first at three-under par. The Gators fired a final round 288 to edge Purdue by five strokes for the team title.
Furman returns home to host the annual Lady Paladin Invitational October 19-21, at the Furman University Golf Course. Admission is free.
