Kenoyer Grabs Second Place, Furman Fourth At Eat A Peach Collegiate

Macon, Ga. -- Junior Stefanie Kenoyer fired an opening round 71 to grab a share of second place and the Furman women’s golf team shot 12-over par 300 to hold fourth place at the Eat A Peach Collegiate at the par-72 Idle Hour Country Club in Macon, Ga., on Sunday.

Kenoyer, a native of Lighthouse Point, Fla., totaled five birdies to lead the Paladins and place a four-way tie just one stroke behind tournament leader Marta Silva Zamora (70) of the University of Georgia. Furman’s Jackie Hilea carded a one-over 73 to move into a share of seventh place and freshman Alexa Rancourt shot two-over 74 to hold 12th place after 18 holes.

Four Florida State Seminoles took top 10 spots to help ninth-ranked FSU into first with an even par 288. Coastal Carolina is nine strokes back with No. 6 Georgia, Furman and James Madison rounding out the top five in the 12-team field.
