Rain, Wind Force First Round Cancellation At SoCon Women's Golf Championships

Greenville, S.C. - Rain and wind gusts of close to 60mph have forced the cancellation of the opening round of the 2007 Southern Conference Women's Golf Championships scheduled for Sunday at Patriots Point Golf Links in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

The tournament will be shortened to 36 holes with the opening round slated for Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. and final round action on tap for Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.

The weather cancellation marks the second straight year the tournament has been shortened to 36 holes.
