Lamb Paces Lady Paladins At Bryan National Collegiate

Browns Summit, N.C. - Furman's Blair Lamb carded an opening round 70 to claim a share of second place at the Bryan National Collegiate at the Bryan Park Champions Course Friday afternoon.

Lamb, a sophomore from Flat Rock, N.C., notched four birdies and fired a two-under 34 on the front nine to pace Furman to a 308.  Kathleen Ekey shot 75 while Ashley Baker posted an eight-over 80.

Purdue fired a first round 290 to hold a one stroke edge on North Carolina while South Carolina's Jenna Pearson shot a four-under 68 to grab the individual lead.

The second round of the 54-hole event is set to begin with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
